You want to work with me because: i care about the details in-between the details, the small miraculous moments, true & authentic connection. You value art & the creative process. You desire a compilation of images that tell your story.. You cherish the tangible & you are intentional about your own creation in this life.
Most importantly, you want to work with me because my art speaks to you, it calls you in & you are here because you feel connection within what i create.
i put an emphasis on connection with every person who stands in front of my lens. I am your guide when you need guidance & a silent observer during the moments that are meant to be left to unravel on their own.
Since erica was a small child, the stories held within a photo have sparked her curiosity & laid the foundation for the artist she has become. Vivid memories of curiously digging through boxes of photos in her grandparents basement; ultimately sparking conversations of grandiose tales about people in different worlds, different lifetimes whom she will never meet – strangers becoming people she then felt connected with, photographs becoming the conduit to immortalizing a story.
After facing many tragedies of lives lost too early, too soon, Erica realized that life is too short, too impermanent to not leave its mark in photographs. today, erica still digs through old boxes of photos, always in awe of the story that lies within & documenting the lives of people. Always creating more memories preserved for future generations to curiously stumble upon, to share a story, to immortalize our existence.

Erica loves to read fantasy & historical fiction novels. she is a big fan of cinema & renaissance art - both she gains a lot of inspiration for how she photographs & sees the world.

On an average day, you can find erica with her nose in a book, exploring new places around the world (camera around her neck, of course), cooking up something delicious, connecting with people in deep existential conversation or in her garden on the little slice of land she owns with her partner, their dog honey & their goats & chickens.

Picking up a camera & never putting it down, Erica has been documenting friends, family, love & the world since her early teenage years. Erica's love for photography, for art, is at the root of her existence, right next to her love for connection. It was a winding path to get here, but at the end, being a photographer just made sense.

When i am creating, i see what im capturing as if its a cinematic film – i answer questions that paint the scene:
I become a present observer of your moments, looking in through a window towards the vast landscape of your story.
Story is the glue that connects us to the human experience & photography is the medium that sustains a visual documentation of our past.
We document our lives because:
Photos are impermanent talismans of connection
There is a story behind every image
An experience of play is timeless
Importance of documenting our lives
Where are we?
Whats the vibe?
Who is here?
What unique elements tell your story?
THE MAGIC OF PRESERVING A MOMENT ONLY TO KNOW THAT ITS OVER IN THE SAME INSTANT; WE WILL CEASE TO EXIST AS THE PHOTO LIVES ON ETERNAL... ITS UTTERLY ROMANTIC & YET TRAGICALLY DEVASTATING
