This vibe of a couples session was photographed exclusively on 35mm film. Why 35mm film you ask? 35mm film photography just hits different. Where?
Surprise! This was sort of a spontaneous surprise oregon coast couples film photo session. Dylan was working in Astoria, Oregon, a beautiful little art deco town on the northwest Oregon coast, and shayna wanted to surprise dylan by showing up and going on a photo adventure. We had so much fun capturing photos on the oregon coast. Playing in the dunes, checking out downtown Astoria, the arcade and catching the most beautiful sunset.
Why 35mm film photography?
Film just hits different. Digital cameras have been trying to replicate film since the first digital camera – they are a technology convenience and flex. But nothing hits quite like analog film photography. I love being both a film and digital photographer because film pushes me to slow down more and really think about a shot. Couples photography on 35mm film is full of little miracles and happy accidents. Even though i know my way around a 35mm film camera, i am always blown away by the results – they’re always better than i could have imagined.
